i just purchased new golf clubs. i went to the driving range, and since it rained the night before, it was wet. im now worried that some of my clubs will rust because little drops of water were on my clubs. i wiped off the clubs with one of my head cover but im still a bit worried. i have a wilson tour rx set, which includes: 1 and 3 titanium composite Woods with graphite shafts, a #4 hybrid with steel shaft, a 5,6,7,8 and 9 stainless steel irons with steel shafts, a putter and sand/pitching wedge. the clubs did not get drenched by rain, it didn’t even rain. the clubs would get wet when i would hit the ground or whatever, so they only had some small beads of water. do you think the clubs can get rusty from little water that i cleaned off with my head covers, can the clubs even get rusty? (considering the material they are made out of?) thanks for the answers
I highly doubt that they will get rusty because I have played plenty of times in the rain, and if your clubs got just a drip on them then don’t worry. For the future put a bag cover over them.

Even low quality clubs won’t rust in the rain. You’re fine. Just wipe off the water, and clean your club after every shot to keep them looking better and reduce wear.

nothin will happen just dry them off

no need to worry. the water doesn’t stay long on your clubs, so it won’t get rusty.

Definitely not. Just because they are called "irons" doesn’t mean they are made out of iron. They surely won’t rust, stop worrying.

if you put your irons in the water for a month, they will get rusty!

golf clubs dont rust…

nope. the clubs probably can rust, but it would take a long long time. i soak my clubs in water to clean off grass and it doesn’t effect them at all.

hmmmm… what’s in a name… "stainless" steel perhaps?

Golf clubs do get rusty. To avoid it, wipe it clean after each play.
If your irons have metal shaft, make sure you wipe this down as well.

Personal experience from getting rust on my 800 dollar metal shaft iron set.
It’s understandable. Most clubs have a plating on them (typically chrome) that protects the clubs in those instances. There are times, like with "raw" or "oil can" models of wedges or when the plating nicks off, that the oxidation process can affect your clubs, but that would take some time and negligence on your part. Reading your reaction, I highly doubt you’d abuse your clubs THAT much.
