I can’t get used to an all-composite stick! :( Any tips?
January 30th, 2010 | by admin |Before this season, I had used them on and off in the past, but this season, am doing so exclusively. I don’t know but it’s like TOO light .. any tips on how to get used to it? Plus the beer league I play in is no-slap shot so I am thinking of going back to the 2 piece stick. (graphite shaft, fibreglass blade) (It wouldn’t make much sense to go back to wood sticks especially since the rink pro shop doesn’t have much of a selection and even what he has is a bit overpriced in my opinion)
Bonus question: I can’t find the Louisville TriCore shaft (birch looking one, NOT with green graphics) on ebay, anyone know of stores that still carry it?
It doesn’t have a plug Leafs, they’re SWD9 sticks that I cut enough of that I don’t need it. (Helps that I am only 6′1 in skates lol)
Nobody said you have to answer all my questions Bob *sarcastic grin + lol*
Christ, you are an annoying little bugger, aren’t you?

I know you said it doesn’t make sense, but go back to what you are using before. There is 4 or 5 NHL players that swear by wooden sticks and wouldn’t switch over. If you were comfortable with the 2 piece, than stick with it.

pop the plug off the shaft and put some sort of weight in it. Don’t use water though because it will freeze, the stick will weaken and thus break easier.
