Composite is a newer material, relatively.  The alternative would generally be an amalgam, a silver color.  It&#039;s fine, but the composite is stronger and looks like your natural tooth.

Avoid popcorn.  The kernels can chip fillings.  Be wary of tacky sweets, they can pull on them.

I see problems people have with fillings caused by food like the above, but it&#039;s really few and far between compared to the number of fillings walking around out there!!
