Caulking is starting to leak. Should I remove the old? Or put another layer of caulking on top? What tool is safe to use without damaging composite (Corian look-alike) shower liner?
I would remove the old with a razor blade along the two edges the caulk is touching. Then re-apply a good quality caulk. The price difference between a good caulk and poor quality caulk is only a few dollars.

The best thing to do is replace the caulk. Just putting more on top looks bad, and may not stop the leak. Take a razor knife and carefully dig out one end. You may be able to grab the end and pull it out. (MAY…) If not, take the knife and cut out the deep part of the caulking, and remove the edges with a a putty knife. Then re-caulk.
Good luck.
