Here’s an article on composites vs aluminum.

Composites get better "pop." Once broken in they are loads better than aluminum. Personally I like the sound of Aluminum when I play slow pitch, but the difference in this worth Mayhem Composite I just bought (not even broken in) is amazing.

The composite when the material breaks down (like a graphite/fiber glass) acts like a trampoline to the baseball/softball.

You can go with a lighter bat than usual and get power from the bat speed as well as the composite material.

Sorry I don’t have the specifics for baseball bats (when I played it was all aluminum), but that should give you an idea especially since it’s the same tech as slo-pitch softball..

i personally like the aluminum bat better. The composite bats sound terrible to me. I like to hear the "ping" when i hit. But really there's not that much of a difference in efficiency

Composite is more expensive and heavier, so it will go further. It also holds up very well so it should last you all 4 years. But aluminum is lighter so you will get better bat speed. Although since you're at a -3 the weight is all the same so I'd go with the composite.

i use a stealth and it it great.. exos are also very good bats, many of my team mates use de marinea (spelling =[ ) and they love it some use 1 piece some use 2 its all in what you like to use.. a great way to see which bat you like is to close your eyes and have someone hand you a bat… you take 2 or 3 dry swings then change bats just don’t look at which bat you are using. which ever feels best it the one you should use… hope this helps

I love the DeMarini Voodoo Its a great bat and the 32 swings really well. Also its very sharp looking and really sends the ball a ways.

Ive used composite and aluminum and i feel like you get way more pop with a composite and it is a little sturdier and i think is supposed to last longer. Composite all the way
