How do I remove rust stains from my friend’s marble composite material?
September 28th, 2009 | by admin |This material is to be used to make serving trays. The material looks like it is marble chips/ dust glued together.
I am not an expert at removing stains from stuff, but here’s an idea…..try a Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean. They’re awesome at removing spots, smudges and other stuff from all different kinds of surfaces. You can buy them at any grocery store or Wal-Mart. They got the rust spots off of a few of my professional knives. Wouldn’t hurt to try, and they’re pretty cheap. I wouldn’t use lemon juice or salt. They are too acidic and are not supposed to be used on granite, marble or any porous surface.
Good luck!

Lemon juice and salt works on cloth, so may work on any porous material. Just pour on the lemon juice, sprinkle with salt, and set it out in the sun. The sun will bleach out the rust spot.
Again, works on cloth – have never tried it on anything else.

Try using Tooth past any tooth past. just rub it in until it will not rub in any more. then wash off with soap and water. just do a small section until you see what it will do .

There is a product called "CLR" — at Lowe’s. I think this will work, test a small area first. Strong stuff.
