i noticed how most are made out of steel or aluminum plus some composites but wouldn’t a Sniper designed to be made out of titanium be stronger a bit lighter (much lighter for it’s weight) all but impervious to corrosion and making everything out of 1 material would probably help to simplify manufacturing probably cutting down the cost somewhat(though it would still be more expensive to produce).
Because titanium is extremely expensive and too light.
Less weight translates into more recoil. Also, titanium isn’t as good as the vibranium and adamantium they use in today’s best top-secret sniper rifles.
Simple theories of economics. Using completely hypothetical prices, why buy pure Titanium for $100 a pound when you could buy steel for $20. We all ready use steel for nearly everything in the military and stainless steel solves the corrosion issue. I’m pretty sure given the fact that scout/snipers go through very rigorous training they’re not gonna care or feel much of a difference if their rifle weighs a few pounds lighter.
