What is the best composite decking material available.?

I am building a deck and looking for the best and most durable composite decking available. Right now I am leaning towards Trex Transcend. Anyone with any experience with the product?

yes.. love it good choice.

I have it and it looks great maintenance low. Works great for a lazy person like me. All work up front, just check every so often later.

Edit:
Mold in the shadow ares is an issue… but really. A light solution of bleach, water and detergents will clean it fine. Let it sit about 15 minutes, then hose it off. no problem.

Trex is good. Only issue with it is algae/mold. You’ll want to use a product like Spray and Forget (Costco) on it yearly to keep it from getting dangerously slippery…not to mention ugly.

When I lived in discovery bay alot of people were using Brock decking. It seemed to be lighter weight and worked well with the sun. I am also familiar with Trex, it seems to be a higher quality decking. (heavy duty) They both seem to do very well in the intense heat and sun of the Delta. As far as price I don’t know how they compare but it would be worth looking into…

Trex is very good. The mold can be a problem if it is in a very shady area. Also here in snow country salt will stain it.
